ICS Cheetah Kids in the 4th Environmental Exhibition in Tehran

Tehran, July 6, 2003 - The 4th Environmental Exhibition was held in Tehran since July 1 for 5 days with participation of various Iranian environmental NGOs from all around the country.

As entering the saloon, visitors encountered some red cheetah tracks on the ground ending to the booth of Iranian Cheetah Society (ICS).  The curious visitors were welcomed by 8 kids, well-known as "ICS Cheetah Kids" wearing spotted T-shirts and invited them to come inside to hear some explanation on the Iranian cheetah, its status and possible approaches to save it based on the descriptions and pictures installed on the walls. All the Cheetah Kids were completely trained about the Iranian wildlife, including the cheetah in a 2 year educational course in Mahmoud Afshar Senior High School, the only partner for the Swedish Life-Link Foundation in the country.

Due to  administration of the booth done by Cheetah Kids, ICS booth was perfectly distinctive from the other booths inside the fair and could attract lots of attention toward the Iranian cheetah and its gloomy future. Interested people could provide themselves cheetah products from the Cheetah Store where selling and accounting affairs were done by Cheetah Kids. During the 5 days fair, so many people visited ICS booth, including high-ranked people the Iranian Government and some people from the foreign Embassies in Tehran.
